So, everyone morning before I go to work I watch VH1's JumpStart and Top 20 Countdown because, hello, music videos. I love music videos. I almost forgot how much I love music videos. One of my faves is No Doubt's "It's My Life".

Anyway, I thought might share some of my fave videos of the past few weeks with you all.

American Boy - Estelle f. Kanye West )

Hancock was pretty cool. Not the best Will Smith July movie ever (that honor sticks with Independence Day), but still good, smash-o-crash fun.

And there was a trailer for James Bond! The new 007 movie is coming out and Daniel Craig looks freaking badass.

Got that BareMinerals RareMinerals Blemish powder. Its ridiculously expensive for such a little thing, but I'm trying it anyway.

Also, saw Wall-E. spoilers )

I've seen this around and it looks fun.

Ask me to take a picture of something! It can be something specific, something you're curious about, a vague prompt, whatever. :)

Dude. Did anyone else see How I Met Your Mother this week? Was it not freaking awesome?!

Also, I'm sure if Supernatural is actually airing tomorrow night - the tv has got baseball down for that timeslot. Not pleased. Not pleased at all!

But, The Office!!!

Also, my mom tore up the kitchen floor and repainted the walls while I was gone this weekend. I leave for two days and suddenly everything is different [/sarcasm].

I suck at writing sex scenes. But that's where the characters want to go and they're all, "but we have these interlocking bodies! Why not, you know, interlock?"

What do you love about where you live?

I could list all the great places Chicago has to offer - the Art Institute, the Shedd Aquarium, Water Tower Place. But the truth is, there's one thing that makes waking up every day in this city worthwhile. And that's the drive. In the morning, on my way to class, I go east and the sun is just rising. The city skyline towers over everything, distant monoliths glittering in those first morning rays. The sky is lit in orange gold and the blue is sharp and clear as glass. Sometimes the horizon is stained with magenta and sometimes its bruised a faint purple. The clouds can be sparse, white fluff or huge, Michelangelo-like tidal waves.

Anyway. That's what I like best.

Writer's Block: Where in the World...

If you were independently wealthy, where in the world would you live and how would you spend your time?

It's a tossup between Hawaii and Edinburgh. Edinburgh has all that rich, gorgeous history. I'd while away the days wandering through the city, drifting in out of shops, museums, and pubs. I'd wear cozy cableknit sweaters and slowly build up my library.  In Hawaii, I'd spend every afternoon surfing, reading on the beach, and make my way through an entire bartender's repertoire of drinks. I'd go snorkling and diving and use an underwater camera to take pictures of sealife.
